VCG 550 Subsea Jet Trencher
The VCG550 Subsea Jet Trencher is an advanced piece of deep-sea intelligent equipment developed by Shandong Future Robot Co., Ltd. It is specifically designed for the installation and maintenance of submarine optical cables, power cables, and pipelines. This equipment features groundbreaking domestic technologies, including intelligent deep-water operations, strong current resistance, cable detection, cable tracking and burial, as well as cable and pipeline inspection, reburial, and maintenance. It is particularly suitable for operations in seabed environments with sandy or soft soil conditions.
The VCG550 Trenching Machine can operate at seabed depths of up to 2,000 meters. It supports three deployment and recovery modes:
1. A-frame + steel wire winch + cable winch mode.
2. A-frame + load-bearing cable winch mode.
3. Davit + cable winch mode.
The system is designed for easy operation, maintenance, and servicing.
When used for laying cables and pipelines in soft seabed conditions, the machine achieves a reference operational speed of 200-400 meters per hour. In sandy seabed conditions, the reference speed is 200-300 meters per hour. The VCG550 Trenching Machine can perform both “lay-then-bury” operations and trenching-only operations. It is highly efficient, occupies minimal deck space, and is especially well-suited for cable and pipeline reburial tasks.
During trenching operations, the equipment does not come into direct contact with the cables or pipelines, ensuring maximum safety.
